GENERAL QUESTIONS
Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: Contact us by e-mail, phone or fax. We will handle your inquiry and mail you back with up to date prices, plans or offers. Finalization of reservation however can only be done after payment. We would like to allow 2 weeks between reservations to handle your request. When traveling in-to Japan please remember those certain periods such as Christmas time/New Year, Golden Week (April 29-May 5) and Obon (middle of August) are extremely popular with fares of hotel and transport booming. Notwithstanding the rising fares, availability is also a problem as most hotels, planes and ferries tend to be fully booked. If you pan to travel during these periods please make inquiries and reservations well beforehand.Q: What payments do you take?
A: We take payments by bank transfer, credit card (via PayPal) or cash.Payment should be done within 3 days of confirmation of your booking. If you are making a bank transfer from an overseas bank, a transfer fee will also be withdrawn from your bank account. Please contact us at least 3 weeks before your departure date if you wish to make a payment from overseas.
Q: How do I get my tickets?
A: Once your payment is received a travel voucher, which specifies place and time of meeting will be ready to be delivered 7-10 days before the departure date. Voucher can only be delivered to mailing addresses within Japan (home address or hotel address in Japan). Once you receive the voucher, please check the details to make sure it matches your itinerary and your name is written as it is on your passport. You will then take the voucher to the airport and exchange it for your ticket. This way, there will be no lost or forgotten tickets. Alternatively pick up can be arranged at the airport designated counter as well.Q: Can I change my reservation?
A: Yes, please call us at 050-5530-2830 or 03-5733-1665 or send an e-mail to confirm but it depends on availability and can't be guaranteed. However, cancellation fees may be subjected if the request is made within 20 days before your departure.Also, if you request changes after our business hours (9:30 to 18:30 Japan standard time), your request will be treated as being placed the following day and may be subject to cancellation fees. Q: Can I request for a specific seat?
A: No, we cannot assign specific seats to meet your request however it can be done on the day of departure at check-in. As most of all our tickets offered here being discounted airfares it does not allow for choosing of seat other than the departure day itself.Q: Can I upgrades with the ticket I purchase from Jumbo Tours?
A: No. Airlines generally do not apply upgrade services to "discout air tickets".However, it is restricted to a specific type of ticket such as APEX (*).
JAL offer you Class-J upgrade seat(Class-J refers only to domestic flights). It is available for an additional 1000yen.

*APEX stands for Advanced Purchased Excursion fares. It is a special discount flight deal offered directly from the airlines. There are various limitations with regards to reservation, ticket issuance and duration of stay. Usually, a ticket must be purchased approximately 14-21 days prior to departure to receive this special discount. Cancellation of this type of ticket is not as flexible as discount air tickets.
Q: How do I earn mileage with the ticket I purchase at Jumbo Tours?
A: YES. However the percentage of your mileage points is different depending on the ticket being purchased. Some tickets are not able to accumulate any mileage points at all. For APEX tickets, please refer to JAL HP.http://www.jal.co.jp/en/jmb/
Q: Can I leave the return flight on standby?
A: Basically, all of your itinerary must be confirmed and fixed before your departure.If part of your itinerary is on a waiting list, we cannot issue you a ticket. In such a case, we will try to look for other flight plan or may ask you to change your flight itinerary.
Q: Can I travel with my pets?
A: Yes. If you are traveling with your pets, you can check him/her in at the airport counter on the date of departure. You just need to be at the airport "Pet Check-in Counter” 30 minutes prior to departure and to complete the check-in procedure.You are required to sign the "Pet Animals Consent and Release Form"(You can download the "Consent and Release Form" from JAL HP in advance. Download the form and print it out. After filling it in, bring it to the check-in counter at the airport on the departure date. ) and pay the applicable pet charges.

In principle, your own container is preferred. For container rental: 500yen

Q: Can I fly when pregnant?
A: JAL restrict travel for pregnant passenger whose baby is expected within 28 days of delivery (including that expected delivery date).[Passengers expecting confinement within 28 days to 8 days]
Medical certificate including consent and release, and information sheet are required.

Passenger must be accompanied by a physician.
The medical certificate is to indicate that the pregnancy is not uncomplicated, and passenger is in good health for air travel and expected date of confinement. It must be issued by a physician no more than seven days (including the day of departure) prior to departure.

Q: Pickup and drop-off locations
A: You will pick up your car at the airport or DFS(at Omoromachi Station) If you wish to return your car to a location other than the one where you picked it up please contact us. Note: Additional charges may apply if you decide to return your car to a different location.Q: What kind of driver's license do I need?
